The Journey Begins Here

A level playing field.

The Scholastic Action Shooting Program is proud to offer a sporting world in which young participants from grade school through college can compete and grow in a sport that offers a true level playing field with no such thing as being “benched,” while developing skills and friendships that will last a lifetime.

A sport where youth can…

  • Work through productive challenges.
  • Develop important life skills.
  • Form bonds and memories that last a lifetime.

conquer challenges.

A shooting sport like SASP allows young athletes to participate on a team level, competing around the nation to represent their school or region. They can also continuously track their own performance improvements on many levels.

Learn life skills.

While training with a team and competing at various matches with a team, young shooters will develop life lessons like winning, failing, and problem solving, all while allowing them to become a better team player and eventually a mentor themselves.

Develop camaraderie.

A team sport like SASP enables young shooters to devlop friendships and long lasting bonds with coaches and mentors, who genuinely care about their accomplishments and successes. These relationships will last a lifetime!

  • “I have been competing at SASP matches for six years now. During this time I have grown in many ways, and the SASP program has been a huge part of my growth. It has taught me good sportsmanship, whether you win or lose, and it has taught me that to win I must put forth effort.” – Naomi M., 12th Grade, WA
  • “I have enjoyed being a part of both SCTP and SASP over the past few years. I have made good friends and teammates. I have learned how to be respectful and safe with a firearm from my coaches along with good sportsmanship.” – Kade B., 11th Grade, AZ
  • “Cedar has gained confidence and skill in using a firearm and enjoys shooting very much. Shooting SASP has helped him learn gun safety, channel his energy, and mature as a young man.”– Cedar G., 6th Grade, SC
  • “SASP has taught me to be disciplined and focused to achieve my goals. It has also given me a chance to be a leader & a positive role model as I share knowledge & skills with other young people interested in the shooting sports. This carries over into other aspects of my life as well as I volunteer in my church & community.” – Cody K., 10th Grade, TX
