What areas of academics is your school best known for?  The majority of our athletes are pursuing the sciences.  We have many athletes working towards engineering, forensics, and medical degrees.

We are very active in our community.  We share our skills and equipment to teach basic firearm safety and marksmanship with youth and adults at the NSSF First Shots program several times per year.


We attend UofA sporting events as a team.  “Bear Down Arizona”
We organize and host ‘Stop the bleed’ classes for the student body.
We volunteer with the Boy Scouts to teach shooting sports merit badges.

What areas of academics is your school best known for? nursing, business administration and management, marketing, human resources and occupational therapy

Details: Concordia University Wisconsin is a private Lutheran university on beautiful Lake Michigan just north of Milwaukee. We are one of the safest campuses in Wisconsin and have the largest MBA program in the state. Our shooting program is fully funded and includes shotgun as well as pistol/rifle.  We have expanded our shotgun program and are award winning on the action side, including winning the Tammy L. Mowry Rifle Cup at College Nationals in 2022.

General: Bowling Green State University is located in Bowling Green, Ohio (20 min South of Toledo). Our areas of academic focus include: Liberal Arts and Sciences, Liberal Studies, Sport and Fitness Administration, Nursing, Management, Criminal Justice, and Design & Visual Communications. BGSU is ranked the #1 most Veteran-friendly University in the Midwest and #2 in the Nation. Our full-time enrollment is approximately 6,000 students.   

Scholarship opportunities: No. We do have 2, 3, and 4-year scholarships available through BGSU ROTC if interested and meet contracting requirements.

Details: BGSU Army ROTC serves as the faculty advisor for the Collegiate Action Shooting Team. ROTC enrollment is NOT a requirement to compete on the team. In addition to SASP, we compete in SCSA, USPSA, IDPA, and Falling Steel competitions. We practice twice per week either at the University (dry practice) or at our Home Range of UCOA – Findlay (live fire). The program covers transportation, lodging, and match/range fees for competitors.
