SASP Rare Ruger Auction: Mark III™ Competition Target Model

The SASP’s Founding Partner Sponsor, Ruger has been dedicated in their support of our program for over five years and has graciously included the SASP as a beneficiary of Ruger Auctions. Each week from September through December will feature a new Ruger Auction, with all proceeds being donated in benefit of the SASP!

Up for auction this week is a Ruger® Mark III™ Competition Target Model pistol. This model pistol was first introduced in the 2005 Ruger Firearms Catalog and is no longer in production. Ruger’s records reflect this pistol was roll marked April 8, 2015. The pistol was never sold and has not been fired beyond normal factory test firing. This pistol features a satin stainless finish with a 6.9-inch slab-sided barrel. It has a fixed front sight, adjustable rear sight, tapered bolt ears, and a left-side magazine release button. The steel grip frame features checkered Cocobolo wood grips with a thumbrest on the left panel. This pistol has a loaded chamber indicator and internal lock. The Mark III™ pistol will ship in the black plastic handgun case it has been stored in along with two 10-round magazines, a Weaver®-style scope base adapter, an internal lock key, original instruction manual, marketing materials, and locking device. The pistol is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut, and a Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction.
