SASP Rare Ruger Auction: M77 Hawkeye in 6.5 Creedmoor
The SASP’s Founding Partner Sponsor, Ruger has been dedicated in their support of our program for over five years and has graciously included the SASP as a beneficiary of Ruger Auctions. Each week from September through December will feature a new Ruger Auction, with all proceeds being donated in benefit of the SASP!
The rifle up for auction this week is a Ruger® M77® Hawkeye® Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. Ruger’s records reflect this rifle was roll marked August 18, 2010. The model and catalog designations (Model 37104 – HKM77RFPB) indicate this model was not a regular production item as it was not listed in any of the Ruger Firearms Catalogs. Features include the smooth and crisp Ruger LC6™ trigger. It has a black synthetic stock with a black recoil pad with the Ruger® eagle logo embossed in it. Other features include the Mauser-type controlled feeding and powerful claw extractor, and 3-position safety. It has a 26-inch hammer-forged matte stainless-steel barrel with integral scope mounts machined directly on the solid steel receiver. The design of the patented steel floorplate, which bears the distinctive Ruger logo, provides easy unloading and eliminates accidental “dumping” of ammunition. The box magazine holds four cartridges. The rifle will be shipped in the rifle box it had been stored in along with a set scope rings, original instruction manual, original marketing materials, and locking device.
