SASP Rare Ruger Auction: Super Single-Six
The SASP’s Founding Partner Sponsor, Ruger has been dedicated in their support of our program for over five years and has graciously included the SASP as a beneficiary of Ruger Auctions. Each week from September through December will feature a new Ruger Auction, with all proceeds being donated in benefit of the SASP!
Our auction item this week is a blued New Model Super Single-Six® Convertible .22 LR/.22 WMR revolver. Ruger’s records reflect this revolver was test fired on April 8, 1996. It was sold to a distributor at that time and then returned to the factory a year later. There are no notes indicating why it was returned. However, it was returned without the .22 WMR cylinder.
As part of this auction, we can have a .22 WMR cylinder factory fit to this revolver before shipping it to the winner.
The revolver appears to function normally. Some features of this revolver include a blued steel frame; 6-1/2-inch barrel; and walnut grip panels with silver-colored Ruger “SR” eagle medallions. Other features include a 6-round capacity .22 Long Rifle cylinder, a blade front sight and integral notch rear sight.
